- The plastic cap fasteners should be driven tight to the surface of the DK-Felt without cutting into the sheet
- Repair all damage to deck before proceeding. For seams joints or tears, repairs may be made using stick flashing tape or equivalent; Asphalt adhesives may also be used to seal joins flashings and laps
- DK-Felt should be extended at least 12" past all hips and valleys
- DK-Felt installed on less than 4:12 slops should be applied in a double coverage method. ("overlapping by the normal 4")
- Fastening can be through both layers
- Follow the ARMA (Asphalt Roof Manufacturing Association) recommendations for installing shingle underlayment and flashings for best roofing practices
